At Broadreach Flood Lock on the Aire and Calder Navigation, near Stanley Ferry.
The lock control box made a fine stand for the camera but the photographer
has now learned a new lesson - a good picture really needs feet in the frame when siting the camera!
A fine day with sunny periods. A number of interesting features, canal aqueducts and
the sound of a steam train whistle. Unfortunately the only visible sign of the train was a puff of smoke over the trees.
The slight downside to the day, the pub till computer went down. It took a while for the staff to decide
to use pen and paper (and calculator) to tot up bar prices - it seemed to be something of a challenge!
