PUB: THE HALF MOON INN, Collingham, LS22 5BL
The Half Moon is an old coaching inn. Cromwell is reputed to have stayed there after the battle of Marston Moor. There is a good car park alongside.
MENU - GOOD CHOICE: Large and small portions, GOOD PRICES, a VARIETY OF BEERS including locally brewed. We will probably take orders before the walk.
THE WALK: Just over 4 miles following the Wharfe to Wetherby, returning via Wetherby golf course and the lovely village of Linton.
Entirely on the level!! Only 4 easy stiles!
GETTING THERE: The pub is situated at the junction of the A659 , Harewood / Wetherby road and the A58 Leeds/Wetherby road. Also about 1 mile from the A1M, Wetherby turnoff.
